From the beginning He chose me to be His child,
And He had a plan that you and I are part of;
My soul reaches out for something beyond this side,
And I know without a doubt that I was in His mind.

 

Before the world was formed I was in His mind,
He did predestinate me before my time;
And I know that I am His, and He is mine,

I often wonder why He ever chose me,
And by His foreknowledge He predestine me to see;
I merely His thought just expressed in my own time,
And I know without a doubt that I was in His mind.
